Choose Delay or Advance, then enter a non-negative amount in milliseconds, seconds, or HH:MM:SS.mmm format.
Review representative before-and-after cue timings, shift from the original file, and download the verified UTF-8 SRT.
If every subtitle appears too early by the same amount, delay the file to move all cues later. If every subtitle appears too late, advance the file to move all cues earlier. One signed integer-millisecond offset is added to every start and end timestamp.
Because the same value is added everywhere, cue durations, relative gaps, overlap relationships, source order, multiline text, Arabic and RTL marks, emoji, punctuation, speaker labels, and recognized formatting remain unchanged. Output numbering and line endings use the approved normalized SRT structure.
Use Time Shifter when the mismatch stays constant from beginning to end. If synchronization gets progressively worse, use Subtitle FPS Converter instead: it proportionally scales the timeline to correct frame-rate drift. If only individual cues are wrong, use Subtitle Editor for cue-by-cue changes.
Advancing is blocked when any timestamp would become negative. The page reports the maximum safe advance for the selected file and allows the exact boundary where the earliest cue begins at 00:00:00,000. Large delays are also blocked before they could exceed exact timestamp limits.
Common questions
Choose Delay subtitles and enter the constant amount they need to move later. The same exact millisecond offset is added to every cue.
Choose Advance subtitles and enter a non-negative magnitude. The tool applies it as a negative offset, but blocks the operation if any cue would move below zero.
Time Shifter adds one fixed offset to every cue and fixes a constant early-or-late mismatch. FPS Converter proportionally scales the timeline when synchronization drift grows over time.

Yes. Seconds such as 1.5 are converted deterministically and rounded once to the nearest integer millisecond. The normalized signed millisecond value is shown before shifting.
Nothing is generated. The operation is blocked without clamping, shortening, or dropping cues, and the maximum safe advance for that file is shown.
The output uses UTF-8 without a byte-order mark, standard HH:MM:SS,mmm timestamps, CRLF line endings, sequential cue numbers, one blank line between cues, and a final newline.
No. Decoding, parsing, timing transformation, serialization, and verification occur locally in your browser, and subtitle content is not persisted by the tool.
