One generator for common QR content

Use URL mode for HTTP or HTTPS web addresses, Plain text for exact Unicode content, Email for a mailto link, Phone for a tel link, or SMS for a number and optional message. These payload types are features of one tool rather than thin duplicate pages.

A domain entered without a scheme receives https:// automatically. Phone separators and structured query values are normalized for compatibility, and the final encoded value is always shown before download so no transformation is hidden.

Static QR codes without hosted redirects

The downloaded QR code stores the shown payload directly. It does not depend on a BrowserPine redirect, account, analytics service, or expiration setting after download.

Static describes the encoded QR data, not the future availability of a destination. A website, phone number, email address, or third-party service can still change or stop working later.

Choose PNG for pixels or SVG for scale

PNG is a raster image with a fixed pixel size. It works well in messages, documents, presentations, websites, and other places that expect an ordinary image file.

SVG is a standalone vector file that stays sharp when resized for print, signs, or design software. Both downloads contain the same payload, colors, error correction, and quiet zone shown in the live preview.

Readability, error correction, and quiet space

QR scanners rely on contrast between dark modules and a lighter background. The generator blocks identical, inverted, or dangerously low-contrast colors instead of silently exporting a code that is likely to scan poorly.

Higher error correction can recover from more damage but leaves less room for content. Medium is the balanced default. A quiet zone of at least four modules remains around every code so scanners can separate it from nearby content.

Is my QR content uploaded to a server?

No. QR generation runs locally in your browser, and the payload is not uploaded to a BrowserPine processing server.

Does the generated QR code expire?

The QR code itself has no BrowserPine expiration because it stores a static payload directly. A linked website or external service can still change or become unavailable.

Which QR content types are supported?

This tool supports HTTP or HTTPS URLs, exact plain text, email mailto links, phone tel links, and SMS links with an optional message.

What is the difference between PNG and SVG?

PNG has fixed pixel dimensions and broad image compatibility. SVG is vector-based and stays sharp when scaled for print or design. Both contain the same QR payload and settings.

What does QR error correction do?

Error correction helps a scanner recover data when part of a code is damaged or obscured. Higher levels improve recovery but reduce the amount of content the QR code can hold.

Why are some color combinations refused?

QR codes are most reliable with dark foreground modules on a lighter, contrasting background. Identical, inverted, and dangerously low-contrast colors are blocked to protect scan reliability.

Why is my content too long?

QR capacity depends on the UTF-8 data and selected error-correction level, not one fixed character limit. Shorten the content or choose a lower error-correction level.

Can I add a logo or decorative QR shapes?

Not in this focused version. Logo overlays and decorative modules can reduce readability, so they require separate round-trip and real-device testing before being offered.
