Extract Pages from a PDF

Choose specific pages from one PDF and save them together as one new document. Custom, odd, and even selections are copied locally in the exact order you choose, including intentional repeated pages.

Extract selected pages into one PDF

Choose custom, odd, or even pages and create one new document in the exact order selected.

Your source PDF stays on your device

The document is read, copied, saved, and verified locally in a dedicated browser worker. Its file data is not uploaded to a processing server, and every extraction starts from the original selected PDF.

Three simple steps

How to extract pages from a PDF

Choose one PDF

Add a document with up to 500 pages and 50 MiB. Its signature, structure, and page count are checked locally before extraction controls appear.

Select pages in order

Enter a custom sequence such as 4-6,1,3, or choose odd or even pages. Custom order and intentional repeats are preserved.

Extract and download

Create one verified PDF from the original source, review its page count and selected-page summary, then download the extracted document.

One output in the order you choose

Custom selections are read from left to right. Entering 5,3,1 creates a three-page PDF in that order, while 4-6,1,3 creates pages 4, 5, 6, 1, and 3. Page numbers are one-based, matching how pages are normally referenced in a document.

Intentional repeats are supported. For example, 1,3,1,5 includes source page 1 twice in the new PDF. The tool explains this behavior instead of silently sorting or deduplicating the selection.

Extract PDF Pages compared with Split PDF

Extract PDF Pages always creates one new PDF containing the complete selected sequence. It suits tasks such as saving several relevant pages as a focused document or arranging a short custom packet.

Split PDF is designed to divide one source into multiple independently downloadable PDF files. Use Split when you need separate chapters or individual-page files; use Extract when every chosen page belongs in one output.

Page content is copied without rasterization

Selected pages are copied as PDF page objects instead of being rendered into images. Standard text, vector graphics, embedded images, page dimensions, MediaBoxes, CropBoxes, stored rotations, and ordinary external links are preserved where the source structure permits.

The tool does not intentionally reduce image resolution or turn searchable text into pixels. Output size may differ because the extracted pages receive a new document structure and their required resources are saved into a separate file.

Practical browser safeguards

Input is limited to one PDF up to 50 MiB and 500 source pages. One extraction can contain up to 500 page copies, including intentional repeats, and generated output must remain within 150 MiB.

Parsing and page copying run in a dedicated worker so the interface stays responsive. Canceling stops that worker while retaining the original source and current selection for a fresh attempt.

Common questions

Extract PDF Pages FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. This tool reads, extracts, saves, and verifies selected pages locally in your browser. The source PDF is not uploaded to a processing server.

Can I change the order of extracted pages?

Yes. Custom selections keep the order entered. For example, 5,3,1 produces an output containing source pages 5, 3, and 1 in that sequence.

Can I include the same page more than once?

Yes. Intentional repeats in a custom selection are preserved. Entering 1,3,1,5 creates an output where source page 1 appears in both the first and third positions.

What is the difference between extracting and splitting a PDF?

Extract PDF Pages creates one PDF from the whole selection. Split PDF creates multiple separate PDF outputs from page groups, every source page, or fixed-size ranges.

Does extracting pages reduce PDF quality?

Pages are copied structurally without rasterization, so the tool does not intentionally lower image resolution or convert text and vectors into pixels.

Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?

No. Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are rejected. This tool does not request, store, bypass, or remove document passwords.

Will bookmarks, forms, and signatures be preserved?

Not always. Bookmarks, internal links, forms, signatures, attachments, and specialized metadata may not survive copying into a new PDF perfectly. Any document change invalidates an existing digital signature.

What are the extraction limits?

The source can be up to 50 MiB and 500 pages. One result can contain up to 500 extracted page copies and must remain within the 150 MiB output limit.
