How to merge PDF files
Set the file order
Drag whole files into position or use the accessible Move up and Move down buttons. Pages within each file keep their existing order.

Start the browser merge, review the output page count and size, then download the combined document as merged.pdf.
How file ordering works
The selected file list is the merge plan. The first document contributes all of its pages first, followed by every page from the second document, and so on. Reordering moves an entire PDF; this version does not rearrange individual pages.
Mixed portrait and landscape pages, page sizes, existing rotations, and CropBoxes are copied without turning pages into images. Text, vector content, ordinary fonts, resources, and ordinary external links are preserved where the PDF structure allows.
Does merging change PDF quality?
Pages are copied structurally rather than rasterized, so merging does not intentionally reduce image resolution or render text and vectors into pixels. This tool combines documents; it does not compress files or edit their text.
Advanced document features such as bookmarks, internal page links, forms, attachments, specialized metadata, and digital signatures may not survive perfectly. Modifying a signed PDF invalidates its existing digital signature.
Practical browser limits
A merge can contain up to 20 PDFs, 50 MiB per file, 100 MiB across the queue, and 500 pages in total. Generated output is limited to 150 MiB. These safeguards keep browser memory use more predictable across phones and computers.
Password-protected or encrypted PDFs are not accepted, and the tool does not request passwords or attempt to unlock documents. A damaged PDF or unusually complex structure may also need a dedicated desktop editor.
Local, focused processing
PDF parsing and page copying happen in a dedicated worker so the page remains responsive while the merge runs. Canceling stops that worker and keeps the selected files available for a fresh attempt.
The final PDF is checked for a valid signature and reopened locally to verify its page count before the download becomes available. Normal website assets may use network requests, but selected PDF data is not sent to a server by this tool.

Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. This Merge PDF tool reads and combines selected documents locally in your browser. Their file data is not uploaded to our server.
Can I change the order before merging?
Yes. Reorder whole PDF files by dragging their handles or by using Move up and Move down. Pages inside each source PDF keep their original order.
Does merging reduce PDF quality?
The tool copies PDF pages without rasterizing them, so it does not intentionally reduce resolution. It is a merge tool, not a PDF compressor.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are rejected. This tool does not request, store, or bypass document passwords.
Will bookmarks, forms, and signatures be preserved?
Not always. Advanced features such as bookmarks, internal links, forms, attachments, specialized metadata, and signatures may not survive merging perfectly. Any document change invalidates an existing digital signature.
How many PDFs can I combine?
You can add up to 20 PDFs, with a 50 MiB per-file limit, 100 MiB total queue limit, and 500-page total limit. The generated PDF must remain within 150 MiB.
Can I merge PDFs with different page sizes or rotations?
Yes. Mixed page dimensions, portrait and landscape pages, existing rotations, and CropBoxes are preserved where supported by the source PDF structure.
