Rotate and Flip Images Online

A 90-degree turn changes a landscape image into portrait orientation, or the reverse. Rotate Right moves the top edge to the right side; Rotate Left moves it to the left side. A 1,200 × 800 source therefore becomes an 800 × 1,200 result.

A 180-degree rotation turns the picture upside down without swapping its width and height. Every turn uses the full decoded source, so no edge is cropped and no extra border is added.

Flip Horizontal mirrors the picture from left to right, while Flip Vertical mirrors it from top to bottom. Neither operation changes the image dimensions.

Rotations and flips can be combined. The visible operation history records the click order, and the final canvas uses that same deterministic transform rather than repeatedly re-encoding intermediate files.

JPG and JPEG remain JPEG, lossless PNG remains PNG, and static WebP remains WebP when the browser can encode a verified WebP result. Transparent and semi-transparent pixels are preserved in PNG and WebP output without black corners or a flattened background.

Browsers do not provide dependable AVIF canvas encoding. AVIF images therefore export as PNG by default, which preserves transparency, or as JPG using the selected quality and background color.

JPG and WebP output use a quality setting from 1 to 100, with 90 as the default. These formats are encoded once from the original decoded image after you click Apply changes, while PNG output stays lossless and does not show a quality control.

Supported JPEG orientation metadata is applied by the browser decoder before the transform, so controls act on the picture as it appears in the editor. Preview changes use a lightweight CSS matrix and do not create a new full-resolution file until you apply them.
